Craniosacral
therapy works through the craniosacral system involving
the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the
brain and spinal cord. The craniosacral system is the structural
aspect of the central nervous system, which involves all
systems of the body. The craniosacral system is intimately
related to and influences the nervous, musculoskeletal,
vascular, lymphatic, endocrine and respiratory systems.
Delicate
manual techniques of light touch are used to detect and
correct imbalances, release problem areas and relieve undue
pressure on the brain and spinal cords; which may interfere
with the proper functioning of the body. Craniosacral therapy
may rid the body of residual effects of stress, injury,
past trauma; and increase resistance to disease.
